Do you love your vet?

Today was the group vet day at our home. Our vet, who is mostly mobile, comes to our house to take care of all the doggies at once.

Pearl got her nails clipped, which is a major ordeal.  Our vet sedates her in order to do this, because she REALLY doesn't like people touching her feet.  Me neither.  Quentin Tarantino would be sooo disappointed.  Then she went back to her sunbathing...no skin off her nose.

Then we corralled the demon spawn and she got her shots...Needless to say she is EXHAUSTED now.
And even this poop eater lost a pound!  Maybe I should switch my diet...

And our little lipoma factory, the brown hound of rebound, was perfect as always, but she always flips on her back.  Anything to whore herself out for a belly rub.  Naturally she still found energy to beg when I was eating...but I gotta give her credit, she puts her all into everything she attempts!  How to resist that face???

The vet did say she has bilateral cataracts, which worries me.  I guess I'll keep a close eye on how she sees things and maybe consider surgery if her vision really tanks.  I don't want her to go blind, even though she would get around fine with her great sniffer.

And of course the vet was perusing the records, he is our new awesome vet so he did not know Polar, and he asked where Polar was.  I barely got the words out that he passed.  Then I almost started crying.  Ugh.  I hate being vulnerable.  But I had to throw one pic in of my boy, cause he's always on my mind.  See, I told you he liked to watch the leaves blow in the trees, this is how I prefer to remember him.

So if you aren't 100% about your vet, I encourage you to look elsewhere, there are plenty to choose from-a great vet makes ALL the difference, and your pet will thank you!  And if you are in the DFW area, boy do I have a vet for you!

Have a great weekend.  Cross your fingers for my weigh-in tomorrow.

I love our vet and you're right, if you're not 100% in love with your vet...go elsewhere. I really enjoy the pics of your babies. Beautiful and they make me smile.

I am glad you have a vet you like. I hope you don't mind me asking, but what happened to Polar? I know he had to be put down, but I'm wondering why?

Beautiful pics! My hound/pitbull mix is always throwing herself on her back for a belly rub too.

I actually am not returning to our old vet. He was great with our Boo but I have a hard time going into the office now. Brings back too many sad memories that I prefer not to remember.

But....he is a good vet!

Oh, he is just gorgeous.

I'm so sorry you lost him. So, so so so so so so so SO sorry.

It makes me hope that he and my blue dane, Chassis, are discovering all the great spots to sniff and run in heaven.

Somehow her not being alone helps.

((hugs to you))
