Mother Nature screws me again

OK, so it is my fault-it is always my fault, unless I'm being fed through a tube, and I'm not-so that is one good thing.

Lost 3 pounds this week-not good for me.  I work really hard and am strict with this diet, and I expect myself to lose 4 pounds per week at least since I'm exercising.  Yes, I'm greedy, and Yes, I'm also impatient, and Yes, I am a goddamn overachiever.  Who only lost 3 pounds.  Dammit.

I knew when I got up and my fingers were swollen that I was taking on water like the Titanic.  This is a common problem for me because I love high sodium spices too much.  It's my biggest weakness actually.

I'm disgusted, and defeated-yet my counselor is all 'you did really well this week'.  Ugh, tried to be nice and gracious and thank her, but she doesn't get it.  But thankfully, cheating is not even an option in my head.  In the old days I would have grabbed some pretzels to ease my pain.

Strangely, I keep having these dreams where I am cheating and eating off plan-and in my dreams I am actually repulsed with myself for doing so.  Nothing like a bit of subconscious motivation to help the conscious me.

Wishing you all a low fat day.

You are definitely too hard on yourself. As long as the scale's moving in the right direction, you've had a successful weigh in!

Drink lots of water and feel better soon!

Read some nice Geneen Roth books and say nice things to yourself, ok?

I am hard on myself, but when i bust my butt all week, the momentum goes forward so hard its difficult to keep myself from being disappointed. You are right though.

You know that I know how you feel. However, you still had an amazing weight loss this week and perhaps you gained some muscle.

Girl, I got more damn muscle than any person should have-sure it's 'buried' but it has been there for decades-as I have added layers of 'insulation' to keep my muscles warm. Ha But thanks for trying to make me feel better! ;-)

It's hard when you don't hit the number you expected. All I can say is that s lbs gone is better than 3 lbs gained! :)

I totally agree, and don't want to seem spoiled. But I'm eating around 1000-1200 calories a day and working out 6 days a week, so I guess I expect more drastic results earlier in this weight loss like that which usually happens to everyone else...

Everyone else, except me. 3 lbs is awesome. I know how you feel though. It never seems to be enough when you are busting your butt. It's a lot easier to gain than to lose (for some of us). Keep on going though. You are doing great.

Thanks Just Me for the kind words. I guess I am in a rush because I know that wall is right around the corner...
